Warehouse & Industrial Lighting

Updated: Apr 14, 2023

Warehouses and industrial buildings are often large areas with high ceilings lacking natural light. These spaces require a specific system in order to ensure high performance light and a productive work environment.

Important factors to consider:

- The intensity of light or lux required

Depending on the height and size of the area, it will be possible to calculate the appropriate amount of light needed. Normally it can go between 200 and 500 lux.

- Low maintenance cost and durability

Energy and maintenance reduction is the most effective way to save costs.

- A safe place to work

Proper light is crucial for the working condition and well-being of employees.

- Light distribution

Wide angle versions can be a good option for the "center", and narrower light distribution for walls or aisles. This way shadow could be avoided.

- Extra solutions

Dimming and sensors can be a convenient option and a plus to save even more.

- Kelvin or CCT

Color temperatures between 4000K and 5000K are good choices to create a bright environment.

- Avoid glare

Don´t position fixtures too close together. Sufficient light is critical but too much light can also cause glare. Workers need comfortable visibility.
